National Day of Silence

Community Event

LGBT students and allies will hold the annual National Day of Silence on April 21. According to organizers, the day is a student-led national event organized in thousands of schools to bring awareness to the silencing effects of anti-LGBTQ name-calling, bullying and harassment in schools. Students from middle school to college vow silence for the day to encourage schools and classmates to address the problem of anti-LGBTQ behavior.
