The district surveys families every year for their opinion on issues such as safety and feelings of connectedness to school. We hope you will share your opinion every year, and complete one survey for every school that your students attend.
Parents may register students for kindergarten at their neighborhood school January 16, 2018 – January 30, 2018. After January 30, kindergarten registration will be ongoing at the SCUSD Enrollment Center.
Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 to register for fall kindergarten.

Three cheers for the West Campus Girls Basketball Team who advances to the CIF Division III State Girls Basketball Championship this Friday, March 23 against Sunny Hills High of Fullerton.
The Lady Warriors had a 59-54 home victory over the Clovis Cougars for the NorCal finals last Saturday, March 17.
The CIF State Championship Game will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. at the Golden 1 Center.

Congratulations to Sutter Middle School who has earned a 2018 Civic Learning Award of Merit.
The California Department of Education Civic Learning Award program has three levels: Awards of Excellence, Distinction and Merit. A panel of experts selected the winners based on the depth and breadth of their civic learning classes, clubs and programs. Superior court judicial officers will provide recognition to schools receiving the Award of Merit.

After competing against thousands of other students across the country, Pony Express first graders placed 1st in California and 2nd in the Pacific Region in the 2018 Mathseed Math Challenge.
Mrs. Bowland’s class will be rewarded for their efforts by winning a pizza party and backpacks full of goodies from the Mathseeds company. The winnings were earned based on the average number of lessons completed in a four-week time frame.
