The Connect Center


The SCUSD Connect Center is a centralized Student Support Center that serves as a “gateway” to critical support services for students and families in our school district.  It offers an innovative solution to addressing the health, wellness and educational needs of SCUSD’s children, youth and families. 

School Climate and Bullying Prevention


At SCUSD the physical and social/emotional safety of students is a top priority.  Media coverage and research alike have shown that bullying can be a real threat to student safety and academic success.  In response, SCUSD has developed a comprehensive approach to preventing, addressing, and intervening in bully behavior, helping keep students safe and ensure a healthy learning environment.

Homeless Services Program


The Homeless Services program supports the enrollment, attendance and achievement of homeless students to ensure they receive equal access to educational opportunities. Specific services include assistance in the following areas: school enrollment and attendance support services, records retrieval, school and hygiene supplies, health/immunization referrals, shelter/housing and community referrals, and education support services under McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act: Education for Homeless Children and Youths.

District Leadership


Staff in the Student Support & Health Services (SSHS) department at SCUSD serve as leaders in several key areas, including mental health, 504 Accommodations and Chronic Absence.

Health Services


The mission of the Health Services Office is to provide school health programs which assist students, families and the community to reach optimal physical, mental and social health in order to succeed in school and in life.
