SCUSD Fall Construction Update

e-Connections Post Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Application

We wanted to give our community an update on the construction projects currently happening across Sac City Unified this Fall. These projects were prioritized according to our equity-based Facility Master Plan that can be reviewed at www.scusdplan.org.

At the Kemble/Chavez new school project, work is now being done to build the new stage. At the Nicholas Elementary new school rebuild site, the wood framing and plumbing is being installed in classrooms.

Alice Birney’s campus renewal project included the installation of playground equipment behind new ornamental iron fencing. At Matsuyama Elementary, blacktop striping is underway, and a new security gate was installed at California Middle School this month.

For athletics facilities, the John F. Kennedy High School tennis court had their final coat applied as part of their sports improvement updates that also include softball and baseball fields. At West Campus High School, the new concrete outfield wall and batting cage is currently being installed.
