Learn about SCUSD

Sacramento City Unified School District is one of the oldest TK-12 districts in the western United States, established in 1854. Today, we embrace innovative and inclusive approaches to high-quality instruction, social-emotional learning, facilities modernization, and preparing our students to be college and career ready.
By providing rigorous academic programs, robust support systems, and meaningful community partnerships, we empower students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving world. Together, we are building a brighter future for our future leaders.
We offer a range of educational options, including traditional schools, STEAM schools, dual immersion schools, public Waldorf schools, International Baccalaureate schools, comprehensive and small high schools, Big Picture Learning schools, project-based learning, career technical education programs, and more.
