Site Selection Process

We chose our first two cohorts of schools at which we are implementing the community schools model through implementation grant funding based on the following criteria: 

Cohort 1

• Comprehensive high schools, middle schools and K-8 schools
• 80% of students met the unduplicated count

Cohort 2

• Schools demonstrated readiness by already having elements of the four community school pillars in place
• Already built-in integrated support services
• Collaborative leadership practices
