Transportation Services
Overview
We provide safe, dependable, efficient and cost-effective transportation services in response to the needs of students, staff and community.
Transportation Services Responsibilities:
- Process Transportation requests, schedules buses, and track expenditures for approximately 2,500 curricular and other bus trips.
- Bus Maintenance which is required to service over 250 District-owned buses, trucks and autos.
- Provide a continuous program for the training of bus drivers that exceeds the requirements mandated by California law.
- Respond to emergencies, including accidents, and resolve problems and complaints from parents, school administrators and the public.

School Bus Safety Rules
- Go directly from the bus stop.
- Plan the safest route with the fewest streets to cross.
- If possible cross streets and corners, using crosswalks if available. Look in all directions before crossing and when safe walk across the street.

How to Get to School
Students may face a number of barriers to regular attendance, but transportation should not be one of them. If your student does not have school bus transportation or a ride to school, check out these alternative transportation methods or call our Attendance & Engagement Office at (916) 643-2121 for additional support.

Transportation Discipline Process
Violations
Students who violate any of the rules and regulations will receive a negative Bus Conduct Report and will be subject to a normal progression of penalties.
