Summer School

We offer a variety of summer school options across the district, at every grade level, including FREE Summer Matters options for Transitional Kindergarten through Middle School students, Extended School Year (ESY), credit recovery, and more. 

Our Summer Matters Programs Provide:

  • Instruction by credentialed teachers for academic intervention TK-8
  • Middle school participants will engage in sports camps and academic enrichment activities
  • Academic & enrichment bridge program opportunities for incoming 9th graders
  • Structured learning experiences and special events
  • Physical play and exercise
  • Building positive relationships
  • Free breakfast

Summer school applications generally become available in early spring, with caregiver notifications of space availability beginning in May. Dates and times for each program may differ by site, and this information will be posted each year during the application window. Students must have attended a Sac City Unified school during the previous school year to be eligible for our summer programs.
