Summer Matters Middle School Program
Summer Matters Middle School Program is a 19-day summer learning program that provides incoming 7-8th grade students with a meaningful and engaging experience designed to reduce summer learning loss, strengthen academic skills, and help students prepare for a successful transition into the 2026–2027 school year.
For Incoming 7-8th Grade Students
Dates: June 22 – July 17
Time: Monday- Friday from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
No program will be held on July 3 in observation of July 4th..
- All students will be provided with free daily breakfast and lunch as part of the program.
- Students may enroll at any Summer Matters Middle School location.
- Families are responsible for transportation to and from the program.
Application Timeline
- Application Deadline: April 30, 2026
- Eligibility Requirement: Students must be currently enrolled and attending a Sac City Unified school to be eligible for our summer programs.
- Parent Notification: May 26 – June 11
- Parent Orientation: Starting June 15, varies by site
